According to Article 8.1 of the Caritas Internationalis Statutes, one of the roles of the Regions is to promote and harmonize the work of member organizations within their Regions, in accordance with the priorities determined by the General Assembly. With regard to its own Statutes, the purpose of Caritas Madagascar is to:
Our three objectives
Assist the Church
Assist the Church in Madagascar in exercising its socio-pastoral ministry of spreading charity and justice by helping the poor and the most excluded/needy, responding to humanitarian emergencies, and promoting integral human development according to the Holy Scriptures and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Support its members
Support its members in their mission of charity and social justice and facilitate the coordination and synergy of actions among Caritas members in Madagascar.
Promote Communion
Promote communion, collaboration and cooperation by carrying out animation, coordination, representation, advocacy, institutional development and capacity-building tasks.
